How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by following the steps below.

If you use iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the subscription that you want to cancel.
  5. Scroll down and tap Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel, the subscription is already canceled and won’t renew.

We’d be happy to do this on your behalf, but unfortunately we can’t because it’s Apple and not us that manages your subscriptions and payments. We have no control over your subscription and any payments you make.

If you use Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account
  3. At the top right, tap the profile icon
  4. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  5. Select the subscription you want to cancel
  6. Follow the instructions.

How do I request a refund?

If you’re dissatisfied with our product, let us first apologize for not meeting your expectations.

If you use iOS, you can ask for a refund through Apple by following these steps:

  1. On the Apple sign-in page, sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase your subscription
  2. Tap I’d like to > Request a refund
  3. Select the reason for the refund request > Next
  4. Select the purchased item > Submit.

You’ll be updated by Apple within 48 hours. Unfortunately, we don’t manage your Apple subscriptions and payments, so we can’t issue refunds directly. For further information on Apple refunds, refer to Apple Support at the bottom of the linked page.

How long are my photos stored on your servers?

Images uploaded to the app to generate AI Avatars are automatically deleted from our servers after 2 days. Images generated by the app from the photos you uploaded are deleted from our servers after 30 days.

The highest standards of security are applied at all times, in line with current security guidelines, and we use advanced encryption techniques to protect your data. Privacy and data protection are among our core values!

I can't see the AI Art section and the @me custom prompts anymore

The AI Art section was recently removed together with the @me custom prompts generator to go all-in on our newly released Avatar feature. As a result, it's not possible to create custom images from a textual input or to generate new versions of your @me tag through text.

DawnAI is continuously evolving: our developers are striving to improve the user experience which leads to creating new amazing features and occasionally dismissing others. Keep an eye out for more additions and improvements in future releases of the app!

Are images generated by DawnAI protected by copyright?

DawnAI is licensed for personal and not commercial use. As such, you’re free to use the app acknowledging the limitations and liabilities included in our Terms of Service.

I can't save my avatars to my device. What should I do?

We're sorry to hear that! What you're experiencing might be due to a permission issue. Don't hesitate to check the following:

If you use iOS, make sure that Dawn AI has access to your Photos. Go to the Settings app on your device, tap on Dawn AI, tap on Photos and allow photos access by tapping Add Photos Only.

If you use Android, make sure that Dawn AI has access to Files and media. Go to the Settings app on your device and look for the Dawn AI app permissions. Ensure the Allow access to media only is flagged.

Dawn is showing an error message when I try to create my avatars.

We’re sorry to hear that! If you're using the app for free and you're not paying to create your avatars, it's likely that you have reached the maximum quota of free generations included in your offer. If this is your case, we encourage you to upgrade your plan to a paid one to keep enjoying Dawn's creations!

If you're already using a paid plan but you're still facing an error message, here are some tips that could help:

  • Make sure you’re using the most recent version of the app. If an update is available on the App Store or Google Play Store, we recommend downloading it.
  • Switch to a different internet connection. If you're using a Wi-Fi network, try your mobile data connection, and vice versa. If you're using a VPN, turn it off and try again.
  • Check that your device has enough storage available. If the error message appears when you try to save an image, the failure may be due to a lack of storage on your device. Try freeing up some space.
  • Update your iOS or Android software. Make sure you’re using the latest version by checking your device’s settings.
  • Close the app from your background processes and reopen it.

If you’ve tried all the steps above but you’re still experiencing problems, please include the following details in your email to help speed up our checks:

  • A screenshot or a screen recording that shows the issue
  • Your current version of iOS or Android
  • Dawn's version
  • Your device make and model.

Is DawnAI free to use?

DawnAI's costs and the availability to use a free trial to discover the app may vary depending on the offer in place when you start using it. As of now, we confirm that a payment is required to create your amazing avatars with DawnAI.

Our team put a ton of effort, expertise, and love into creating the app—and maintaining it takes a lot of resources. The AI we use to generate your avatars is complex and requires huge computational power. It’s an expensive process, but we worked hard to reduce the price as much as possible to make it affordable for you.
