I can't save my project. What should I do?
Kindly try the suggestions below as they may help you overcome the technical issue.
- Close Splice. Close the app from your background processes and launch it again.
- Software update. Update Android and Splice to the most recent version.
- Switch to a different internet connection. If you're using a WiFi network, try your mobile data connection, and vice versa. If you're using a VPN, turn it off and try again.
- Device storage. Check that your device has enough available storage to complete the export. You can do so in Settings. Make sure you're not simply freeing up space on Cloud storage, as our app can't use that.
- Check for faulty files on your timeline. All pictures and videos shot with your phone will work fine. However, the app may not recognize files from an external source (e.g., made or downloaded from WhatsApp, or created on other photo/video-editors)
- Check that all assets in the project are saved to your phone's storage. Assets saved to Cloud sources such as Google Drive and Dropbox won't work with the app. If any of the project's assets are saved on the Cloud, try downloading them to your phone and re-adding them to your project.
If you still can't identify the faulty assets, try removing every single one (such as pictures, videos, and audio files) in order. By repeating the process for each asset, you'll quickly learn which is causing the issue. Then you can exclude it from your project or convert it to another format.
Why am I experiencing crashes?
While the app can't always recover from a crash on its own, you can perform the following checks in an attempt to solve the issue:
- Close Splice. Close the app from your background processes and launch it again.
- Software update. Update Android and Splice to the most recent version.
- Restart your device.
- Battery saving mode. Try turning off battery saving mode if it's enabled.
- Device storage. Check that your device has enough available storage. You can do so in Settings. Make sure you're not simply freeing up space on Cloud storage, as our app can't use that.
- Switch to a different internet connection. If you're using a WiFi network, try your mobile data connection, and vice versa. If you're using a VPN, turn it off and try again.
- Delete the cache of the app.
- Check for faulty files on your timeline. All pictures and videos shot with your phone will work fine. ****However, the app may not recognize files from an external source or resources on an SD card.
- Try removing every single media one by one (such as pictures, videos, audio files). By repeating the process for each asset, you’ll quickly learn which is causing the issue. Then you can exclude it from your project.
Can I sync my projects on multiple devices?
